One of my favorite stories is about Gideon. He was so afraid of what the Midianites could do that he threshed wheat in a winepress. When God called him to save the Israelites from from the hands of Midian, Gideon did a double take and thought for sure that God must be confused and had the wrong person. But God knows what he’s doing. He doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called.
